The Trebevic Mountain was host for a number of events during the 14th Winter Olympic Games in 1984. A bobsleigh was constructed at the Trebevic thanks to its excellent terrain configuration for this sport.
Before the war, Trebevic was an oasis of greenery and a cable tram took only 12 minutes from Sarajevo. It was destroyed during the war and has not been rebuilt to this day. Visitors should exercise caution when visiting Trebevic as many of its slopes were under landmines during the war.
